The Passaic County NJ Jail is a medium-security detention center located at 11 Marshall St Paterson, NJ which is operated locally by the Passaic County Sheriff's Office and holds inmates awaiting trial or sentencing or both. Most of the sentenced inmates are here for less than two years. Passaic County accepts inmates from surrounding towns, municipalities, the US Marshal's Service and the Paterson Police Department who do not have their own long-term lock-up.

Personal Hours for Visits:
- Tuesday - Thursday: 12PM-2:30PM / 5PM-10PM EST
- Saturday and Sunday: 9AM-2:30PM / 5PM-10PM EST
- Monday and Friday: 5PM-10PM
Professional/Attorney Hours for Visits:
- Monday - Sunday: 8AM-10AM / 12PM-2PM / 5:30PM-10PM

The Program Services department offers several programs for the inmate population. These include the following:

Community Release Center (CRC)
The Community Release Center offers alternatives to incarceration for the citizens of Passaic County. These alternatives include the Sheriff's Labor Assistance Program (SLAP) and Home Detention and Bail Enhanced GPS which are a part of our Electronic Monitoring Program. CRC also provides services to the municipalities of Passaic County. These include the Clean Parks Program and emergency snow removal for seniors who need assistance after snowstorms.
