PSA Risk Factors

New Jersey Risk Factors For the PSA 

Passaic County Pretrial Detention Attorney David L. Pine will review the PSA and the Risk Factors that Pertain to the Client.

 

The Risk Factors 

  1. Age at current arrest;
  2. Current violent offense;

2a. Current violent offense and 20 years old or younger;

  1. Pending charge at the time of the offense;

  2. Prior disorderly persons conviction (does not include ordinance violations or petty disorderly persons offenses);

  3. Prior indictable convictions (degrees one to four)

5a. Prior conviction;

  1. Prior violent conviction;

  2. Prior failure to appear at a pre-disposition court date in the last two years (does not include ordinance violations, traffic offenses, or petty disorderly persons offenses);

  3. Prior failure to appear at a pre-disposition court date more than two years ago (does not include ordinance violations, traffic offenses, or petty disorderly persons offenses); and

  4. Prior sentence to incarceration (only sentences of 14 days or more).
